The application delivered handles all the issues typical of any facility hosting large events. Events can be defined with provisions to address all minor issues like Invitations and seating facilities. Reservations module and POS Module were made available with graphical indications of seating and ticket availabilities. The other unique feature is printing of tickets, The format of the ticket is easily defined by the user in a word template and imported into the system . Barcodes generated in the tickets are verified at the entrance by TicketChecker Module. The application integrates with Wintouch the product used by city hall to automate all other activities of the city hall

Web Interface for a Conventional Enterprise Application

Challenges:
The client has a sophisticated client server system which automates the entire business process, the system being client server has its own disadvantages, The non retail clients (book stores) whenever placing their frequent orders had to go through a manual process of placing their orders over telephone/fax. The requirement was to have a solution which would give the clients access to know the latest available stocks, place order, know about the status of the orders and account receivables/payables.

Solution:
A B2B solution was developed and implemented successfully. The B2B solution integrates with the existing system and provides a browser interface to it, The integration is so perfect that clients in the existing application, are provided logins, indicated of their logins by emails. And upon logging into the B2B site search for availability of stocks and place their orders . Inspite of the systems being placed in physically different data centers all orders/stock updating are simultaneously transferred to the existing conventional application in real time. Besides placing orders and viewing the status of orders the clients also have access to the Accounts payables/receivables.

Electronic Air Cargo Accounts Settling System

Challenges:
Huge array of invoices and reports must be checked and consolidated. - Maintain all the data pertaining to the billing process in an efficient way. - Reduce the huge overhead incurred while administering the billing process and settlement.

Solution:
All the issues related to collection and invoicing were combined in to a single step. The new system used excellent service provided by the CASS (external system) to handle all the interactions between the carrier and the agent. Connectivity with the CASS was provided by the exporting the electronic data generated by the AWB system. Future corrections needed on AWB?s were also handled in the system and provisions of referring older versions were implemented in the system.

Translation tools where developed by the SHLOK team to have a multi-language extranet application As the existing database of the contester?s profiles is not available for the application, a solution is provided in the survey screen itself. Here, when the participant logs on he is provided with necessary screens to fill his/her profile which acts as a filter (a requirement) for the survey contents The system was designed and developed as three tier architecture to enable easy integration and to ensure scalability.

Playlists are created by just dragging and dropping desired videos form the library of Videos,. As part of the solution SHLOK also delivered a tool which with an effective utilization of Windows Service/Web services enabled easy upload of videos to the central video repository through FTP. The application allows the user to create a complex play lists to run throughout the day with provision to manage advertisements among others .
